Information we collect

• Contact and inquiry details: your name, email address, phone number, and information you provide when you contact the school or request a tour.
• Application details: information you choose to provide in an application, such as your address, education qualifications, school attended, graduation year, payment preferences, and, where requested, date of birth or parent or guardian details.
• Tour and transaction records: requested and confirmed tour times, payment amounts and status, transaction references, refunds or credits, and related communications.
• Technical information: information needed to operate and protect the website, such as an IP address, browser or device information, request activity, and browser identifiers used during the payment and booking process. Our hosting and payment providers may process this information.

Please do not send full payment card details, Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, or medical records through general website forms or email. If additional documentation is needed for enrollment, contact the school for instructions.

How we use your information

We use information to respond to questions; review applications; arrange and administer tours; process and reconcile payments, refunds, or tuition credits; maintain admissions and student records; communicate about your requests and enrollment; protect against fraud and misuse; and meet applicable recordkeeping and legal obligations.

Information from an inquiry, tour, or application may be associated with your admissions or student record so the school can follow up and avoid duplicate records. Access is limited to staff and service providers who need the information for these purposes.

Payments and service providers

Stripe: online card payments are processed through Stripe’s hosted checkout. Payment details entered there are provided directly to Stripe. Alero’s website does not store full card numbers or card security codes. We receive information needed to verify and administer the transaction, such as contact details, payment amount, payment status, and transaction references. Stripe handles information under its own Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).

Microsoft: we use Microsoft services for school tour scheduling and school communications. Name, contact details, tour information, and any required booking consent may be shared with Microsoft to arrange your visit. We may also share information with website hosting, administrative, and technical service providers as needed to operate the school and website. We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, or to protect people, the school, and our services. Providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Cookies and browser storage

Our tour payment flow uses a necessary cookie and browser session storage to associate a payment with your browser, verify payment before booking, and help you return to a reservation without paying again. Blocking or clearing these items may prevent automatic payment verification; contact the school for help if you have already paid.

Stripe, Microsoft, and other sites you visit through links or embedded content may use their own cookies or similar technologies under their privacy policies. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. If you reach Alero through another organization’s website, that website’s own privacy practices also apply.

Retention and security

We retain information as needed to respond to inquiries, administer applications and enrollment, maintain school and financial records, resolve disputes, and meet applicable obligations. Retention depends on the type of record and its purpose.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information and restrict access. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure.

Your choices and privacy requests

You may contact us to ask about the information we hold about you, request access or a correction, request deletion where permitted, or ask us to stop nonessential marketing communications. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. Some records may need to be retained for school administration, financial reconciliation, or legal obligations, and we may continue communications needed to administer your application, tour, enrollment, or payment.

You can choose not to provide optional information. We may be unable to complete a request, application, payment, or reservation without the information needed for that service. Additional privacy rights may apply depending on where you live.

Information about children

This website is intended for prospective students and adults assisting them, rather than young children. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, please contact us so we can review and address it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or practices change. The current version will be posted on this page with its effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
